Hen over breeding other hens?

I have a flock of 8 mixed breed hens that are 4 going on 5 years old and have been together since day-olds. The Black Australorp in the last couple months has become the alpha of the flock after the passing of one of my buff's. All is stable in the coop, but she is "breeding" two of the hens to the point of having bare backs. She has also stopped laying in this time. Is there any way to reduce the breeding pressure on these two hens without disrupting the rest of the flock dynamics? I am tempted to separate her for a few days in hopes of cooling her urges... Any suggestions?

Sounds like her hormones are out of whack. I know with horses if a female starts acting studdish and trying to breed other females then often there is something messed up in her ovaries. I do know that hens will mount each other, but this sounds extreme enough that it may be an actual physical problem.
