Crowing
Is it possible for chickens to gorge themselves to the point they can't hold it in? I've got a perfectly healthy hen here who I noticed "spit up" earlier when she bent down to peck the ground. I started watching her and noticed she was doing it quite often when she is bent over. Its a clear yellowish liquid. I just switched from a layer crumble to the pellet if this has anything to do with it. I felt her crop and it is very full, but not hot or really hard.
My question is, is this just from over eating? Do chickens even over indulge? I would imagine so as it seems all they do is eat!
