Hen passed away suddenly

Hello,
The past couple days I noticed one of my hens seem very still and quite. She even let me come right up to her and pick her up and she even fell asleep in my arms. I thought I would check in on her the next day and I thought she seemed better. Last night she was still again and barely would move and by morning she had passed. I’m worried I missed something and I am going to have more fatalities. Anyone have any experience with something like this? Any ideas on what it might be and what I would do to make sure the rest of my flock will be ok?

Sorry for the ramble, but it was harder than expected to loose our first chicken. Thank you for any help.

I have had some die like that so it isn't an uncommon way to go. Generally it's an individual problem. The only way to will know for sure why is to have a necropsy done.
