Hen passed something--shell-less egg or something worse?

My three-year old red sex link, PeeWee is usually my most rambunctious hen. She was fine yesterday--she had been eating and pooping normally. She has not started laying since she took a winter hiatus (she layed all winter last year). But today she is very lethargic, unsteady on her feet, and her tail is drooping.

When I went out to check on her a minute ago, I saw this:

It doesn't look like the shell-less eggs that the hens lay every once in a while. And I've never had a hen get "sick" from laying a shell-less egg.

I would really appreciate your thoughts!

Hi Cindy. I can't tell from the picture exactly what that is. Although it looks like normal white urates, it could be a piece of empty shell material. Was she still acting lethargic after she layed this (and are you sure it was hers)? Regarding her looking and acting ill, could she be egg bound? Can you feel an egg when you examine her abdomen?
