I have chicken wire around a new flower bed I just made and placed this hi-yield fire ant control powder stuff on the bed because ants were already building nests in it.

The problem is one of my white hens reached under the wire and pecked at the powder. I made her get away, but is it going to kill her? She only pecked a little, I not even sure if any got in her mouth. What should I do?

The fence was put up to keep my chickens out, I never thought they would try to reach under it. The gap was smaller than a finger width. :(

you can flush her system with a laxitive that absorbs toxins and removes them from the body. its a molasses flush. use 1pint molasses to 5 gallons of water for no longer than 8 hours. this will flush her system and absorb the toxins.hope this helps. best of luck! I got this remedy for poison out of my chicken health book guide so it should work. keep us posted.

Thanks I'll do that and let you know how it goes. So far she's acting normal. Thank you.
