Hen Pecked

Hi I have 5 hens, 2 six year olds and 3 one year olds. It appears that the younger ones are getting pecked on. Should I separate them and if I do can I reintroduce them later? I had a 1 year old rooster but donated him to a farm as he was getting out of hand. I don't know if that changed the whole dynamics of the flock?? Thanks for any suggestions, truly appreciated.

Any major change to a flock (i.e. adding or substracting birds) causes a disturbance in the pecking order because everyone then wants to find and secure their new spot in the flock. Pecking is normal as long as blood isn’t being drawn and should be over with in a few weeks. If not, try using the see but don’t touch method.
