Hen pecking Chicks.

Born today Had to take they away. Never had that happen before. Their wounds are superficial. Have any of you guys ever had this happen?

They are 1/2 Lavender Americana and 1/2 Black double Laced Barnevelders.

Well..I separate my Hens from the flock to hatch and don't interfere much at all. Sometimes stress from other Birds can cause her to do that. Possibly a bad Momma and didn't understand once they hatched? Or were other hens trying to kill them?

It was his mom. I've never had it before. I have Them in the house now under a heat lamp and medicated chick started and water. heat is about 94 so, they are good got them to drink and eat a little this morning. Wounds are drying up and I have a triple antibiotic on them. I think we are good.
