My hen has nine chicks that were hatched yesterday.
8 of them are yellow and 1 is black.
The mother is pecking at the black chick! Since it is the only one which is black, it seems that she distinguishes between them and perhaps thinks that it is not hers because of its different color.
She does not let it get close to her. The chicks are about a day old. What can I do? I do not know how to feed it or take care of it!
And it does not stop chirping! It wants its mother!
Help!

Aw poor little thing. Once the mother hen starts pecking at any of her chicks, you’ll need to separate it. If not, she’ll end up killing it.
I had a similar thing happen to my silkie mama with 9 newly hatched silkie chicks. She continued to peck at them until I had enough of it. My Welsummer girl ended up adopting them :)
YouTube has helped me tremendously, I’m sure you can find a helpful tip there on what to do with the chick. Hope the little chick will be okay :) Keep us updated please.

Thanks for the answers!
The mother is white.
I put it in a cage with a heating lamp. I was not prepared for such a situation...
It does not eat so much. Sometimes it grabs the food in its beak and drops it, and does not try to eat so much.
I dipped his beak in water.
it's chirping a lot...
I hope it will be all right.
it is about 24 hours old. I heard chicks don't need to eat in their first few days, because of the yolk from the egg. So I guess it's not bad if it does not eat so much in the meantime.... no?

It doesnt not look sick or anything. It does sleep a lot but it stands and walks a few steps sometimes. It does not have a mother to follow her so it does not walk much.

Not sure if this will help, but maybe you could grab a few chicks from mama and put it in with the lonely chick from the brooder? Maybe it’ll help the chick :)
I can, but I do not know how to take care of the chicks myself.
I do not know how to feed them, how to make them drink, etc.
I know that their mother teaches them to do it...

To feed them tap your finger in the food dish, you can make hen sounds as you tap eventually the chick will catch on. Water, either dip the beak or repeat the tapping and clucking in the water dish if this does not work get a drop on your finger and carefully put it on the end of the chick's beak usually once they know about water they'll seek it out.:)
