I recorded its mother's voices as she called to her chicks, and I let it listen and tap my finger in the plate of the food.
The chick is doing well... It eats (not much) and chirps less. It stands and runs and is less sleepy.
It still does not seem to be drinking itself so I dip its beak in the water.
By the way... How can I tell if it's male or female?

It will be quite a while before you know if you have a boy or a girl unless your little chick is sexlinked. You will start seeing a big pink comb, pointy neck feathers and sickle shaped feathers near the base of the tail if you have a boy. Boys also tend to have bigger legs and feet and are more bold. You can always post pictures now and as your chick grows and we will try and figure out what you've got.
