Lost two hens the last two days and looks like i am losing another. On two consecutive days, i found a dead hen with a bloodied vent. Did not look good. Now today i see an alive hen with a bloody vent that is being attacked on by others. Not sure whats going on, but it appears at least one of the hens is pecking this one now. I can only imagine she wont last long either. i have no means of seperating them. What could be happening? I found some bloodied eggs. Is this an agressive hen behavior or is there some other problem as well. This will be three consecutive days this will have happened. I have only 6 hens left at the moment. Any toughts? Thanks !!!

Can you isolate the hen with the bloody vent, by placing her inside a sectioned area in your run?

You always have means of separating, even it's just a section of chicken wire and dog crate. Have you picked your birds up and looked them over closely for mites around the vent area??? Have you obeserved them for a period of time to find out if one bird is doing the picking, or several?? You need to do that. If one is picking separate her. If you don't, you're likely to end up with a bunch of dead chickens.
