Hen Problem

I'm having a problem with this hen. Ok so my rooster pecked my mother so I went outside to handle him for a while so he wouldn't become a problem. I have done this before when he pecked me and after that he didn't try again. But when I went to pick him up this time one of the hens started attacking me. This hen has been like this before and I have picked her up but she still seems to be a problem. She also attacks my dog every times he passes her by and he wouldn't even touch her. What can I do to solve this problem?

I agree with donrae and bobbi-j. If my rooster pecked me once, I would forgive and forget about it. But twice? He's out of here. Either in pot or in the country, I'm done with him. Roosters can get very aggressive, so it's better to be safe now than regretting it later in the future. And the hen? She's thinking that she's higher than you in the pecking order. She's pecking you how she would peck a lower hen. You need to remind her that you're on the top of the pecking order, even higher than the rooster. Next time it looks like she's going to peck you, get your fingers and tap her sharply on the back. Like you're a hen, pecking a lower hen. You have to teach her that you're the dominant one, and you can get her sorry butt to move if you feel like it. Hope this helped! Good luck!

Thanks for the info, I pick up the rooster today and the hen didn't attack. I also picked he up yesterday so I think she got the message.
