Hi!!! I’m super worried about a hen that seems to have developed a purple-blue tint on her comb over the last 24-ish hours and I’m very concerned about what that means in terms of oxygen deprivation. She is extremely lethargic, stands, but seems somewhat unstable at times. She is uninterested in walking and occasionally lifts a leg for a bit before alternating between feet. No abnormal swelling in either foot. Her crop is full, but squishy as if it is mostly water. No foul odor emitting from her beak or at least I don’t smell anything. She seems to be drinking water, but had gag-like convulsions after I provided a small amount of feed crumbles with water poured onto it. No mites as far as I can see and no wounds or injuries to appendages. They had some pumpkin and seeds a day and half ago so I’m wondering if a seed is stuck? Any advice on what I can do to help her would be greatly appreciated. I’m sequestering her inside now. I know it could be a ton of stuff, but even narrowing it down with examination tips would be immensely helpful and appreciated.

Thank you!!!!

You mentioned that she was gagging? Would you describe it as if she's gasping for air or like she's going to vomit? If it looks like she's gasping more than gagging my guess would be gapeworm. If it looks like she's trying to vomit but can't muster up the strength to do it, you might help by vomiting her. Here's a video on YT that shows how to go about doing that:

Can you please post photos of her and her poop?

When was her last egg?

Drinking a lot of water, I would suspect her crop is not emptying, but a lot of times this is a symptom due to an underlying condition like reproductive disorders, worms, coccidiosis and infection.

Any bloat or fluid in the abdomen below the vent between her legs?

Read this article about treating the Crop Symptoms. I'd start with giving the coconut. If it's full of water, then I'd take care not to press on the crop very much, you risk the contents coming up and her aspirating.
