Hen raising chicks?

My boss has a few hens, one of them hatched out 2 chicks today. She should be able to raise them on her own right? As long as there is food and water available that they can get to?

Hens were raising chicks long before there were incubators and brooder boxes.

well, the two chicks died.. no apparent reason.

He has another hen sitting on eggs right now... Should she be seperated from the other chickens so that they cant bother the chicks?

Although I am newer to chickens, I think most people do seperate their hens when they get broody to a seperate area away from the other hens.. However someone else here could more adequetly answer your question :|
