Hen repeatedly opening and closing mouth and it’s making a small clicking noise.

I have a 4 year old Australorp hen who I noticed this evening was repeatedly opening and closing its beak. Not very wide but repeatedly doing it. I noticed once she roosted tonight and was all settled in that there was a faint clicking noise as well. What could be the cause of this?

It’s in the low 60s here. She has access to water in the coop, under the coop and she will drink out of the bird bath (which I change water daily) She otherwise looks and seems healthy.

I would say she is fine. I don't know about the clicking sound though. Maybe having breathing problems? If she seems fine though and acts normal I would leave her be.

I will keep a close eye on her. Not her norm but hoping it’s nothing. Thank you!

Maybe she got an aspiration? Also have you checked the crop?

I checked her crop but am not sure if I got to check it real well as she is one of my chickens that does not like to be touched and I didn’t want to cause to much stress to her. I will check again tomorrow morning. I was wondering if she aspirated something as well. I will be out to the coop in the early morning to see how she’s doing. Thanks for your help!
