Hen Saddles — How do you make them? Preferably no-sew options?

wouldn’t that just stop copulation and not the actual mounting?
man, everyone is getting me with logic today. that's true. but does the hen cover prevent mounting? I guess it would cause the friction to be on the fabric rather than on her. I concede. I just thought rooster shields would be hilarious.

nah, it just stops the rooster’s claws from digging into her back. it would be a funny sight, though. a chicken wearing pants/a diaper, essentially

for dogs, it's basically a waistband with a giant shield hanging down from their waist. haha.

so, my mom offered to sew one and this is the fabric she has. would the red in it cause any issues?

The red MIGHT draw some attention. More of a concern is the weave of the fabric. If it is not a very tight knit or weave the roosters claws can get caught up in it.

Options that come to mind are duck cloth, canvas, fleece, and denim or such type.

okay, then it’s probably not good. she said it isn’t very tight knit
