A couple of my hens are really getting worked over by the Roos. I wanted to try getting those saddle things to protect their backs but was wondering if anyone has used them and if so where is the best place to purchase them?>

check everything else for sale. There is a post for them there.

I LOVE THEM.
Moodene (Nadine) sells terrific very user and hen friendly saddles. EXCELLENT quality, wasahable. I can sew, but her patterns and quality are so awesome, I didn't even wanna bother.

My hens are so much happier now. Don't wait until you see blood. get them NOW

I bought one for my silkie as hawk proection. It has a special layer??

She hates it. Does the moon walk backwards untill she hits a wall.

I make her wear it anyway. She has kind of gotten used to it.

It makes me feel better anyway.

I made fleece no-sew aprons for my hens, but it wasn't strong enough and my Chickeepoo got torn open yesterday… they went right at her above her tail even with it on. I think the saddle/apron needs to have a little stiffness just to prevent this. Does anyone else have experience making or using these?
