Hello,
my 3 years old hen (She doesn’t lay eggs anymore) has been weird for 10/15 days.
We recently adopted (a month ago) another hen to keep her company because our other hen died in may. They quickly got along.
She is eating but she is laying on the grass way more often than before (so she’s eating less grass). She still follows her friend in the garden but she quickly stops walking and stays at the same spot. Her tail is often low (2nd photo). She seems to have little energy.
We had hot weather 4 days ago and her crest became more pale (3rd photo). I read that hot temperatures could be the cause.
what do you think ? why isn’t she walking around like she did before ?
