Hen setting, no rooster

My Rooster died 4 months ago. now my hen is setting. Is that normal. How much time would a hen be fertile
after the rooster is no longer in the picture?

After that long, any eggs she lays should not be fertile.

For a hen to set in the spring is fairly normal, whether there is a rooster present or not.

You could buy fertile eggs and let her hatch them, or you could let her sit on fake eggs for 3 weeks and then buy chicks for her to raise, or you could break her broodiness so she doesn't waste her time sitting on a nest without hatching anything. Which one is "best" depends on what you want.
