Hen sitting on eggs even if I don't have a rooster, what to do?

Hi everyone,

I have a hen that decided to sit on eggs since yesterday!

I have no rooster, so what to do so she next.

This morning I had to go see if there was eggs and yes she is sitting on eggs.

Oups I took them, was it a good idea or not, what should I do next time.

Keep taking them, if you don't have a roo they are not fertile, so she can't hatch them.

You have what is called "A broody hen."

Get her some fertilized eggs, I had a single chicken for a few years and she was always on eggs, so I sent for silkie eggs and she hatched em all and from there on in theyve had their own cause I got some roos out of them. She and a frizzle are in their own pen so Im thinking of sending for more eggs, theyre both sitting and have no roo in with them. She is never happier than when she has babies to care for.
