My hen has been standing upright for several days now. Otherwise, she is acting completely normal:

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) Orpington, not quite 3 yrs old, weight seems normal compared to others.

2) What is the behavior, exactly. Standing upright.

3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? Been acting this was for about 5 days.

4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? All other hens appear normal.

5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No.

6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Her head has been pecked a few times by the others, small amount of dried blood around comb.

7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Eating, drinking, scratching, pecking like normal.

8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Poop is good color and good consistency.

9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? I've brought her inside (we live in Maine and temps have been below normal all winter), I've soaked her in warm water the last two days and applied KY lubricant.

10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Considering bringing her to a local vet, but won't be able to until Tuesday (in 3 days). Hoping for improvement before then.

11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

12) Describe the housing/bedding in use. The coop holds 12 chickens with a large outside run. Bedding consists of shavings and hay.

Overall she seems happy, bright, alert, and talkative. So I can't figure out what's going on. She has not laid an egg in the past two days since being inside - outside, I'm unable to say who lays what. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It sorta sounds like she could be egg bound

edit: egg bound not impacted sorry. But if she's eating and has normal poop then it would probably dispel that.
