hen still setting

i have a hen that is still setting even though her chicks are hatched. i took the baby chicks and put them in a pen with another hen that has baby chicks. i only wanted one mother hen. does she think her eggs have not hatched or what? this is my first "go-round" with chickens. please help!

I'm not experienced with "broody" hens. But you can do a search by going to the top of the page in the blue bar, click on search and ask away. You will have lots of reading ahead of you. Good luck. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in with better advice.

Imp- from what I've read here, she should be OK, as long as she eats. Try taking her off the nest frequently. Maybe move her out of the coop?​
 
How long did she have the chicks? If she didn't have them for a day or two (Long enough to snap out of broodiness) She may continue to set until she hatches more chicks. (If you let her) And unless she appears in really good health, I would break her up. I have never let any of my hens do back-to-back incubation/hatching. It just takes too much out of them.
