I have a hen that was hatched April 1st of this year that hasn't laid an egg in a month. She was my only blue egg layer so I know she's not laying. When she did it was typically get an egg for 4 days, 2 days off then 4 or 5 days and then a day off schedule. She was in with 2 mail and 6 female when she stopped. She's kind of an bit.. and was causing stress in the pen so I moved her with some younger ones(5 or 6 weeks old at the time). Not fighting just chasing the others out of sandbox and squawking at the other pen mates. She fit in nicely in the new pen I've lefter with 2 two hens that have been laying for a month or so and 2 males, I know one needs to go but there's no trouble happening yet, but she's not laying. I joke with her each night that I'm looking at recipes. She seems healthy but just isn't laying. She eats the same food and gets the same light as the others.

It can take a while to start laying after a move, but a month is a bit long. Are there any other stresses? How much light is she getting? To lay regularly, they should be getting 14-16 hours of light per day.

She had actually stopped laying in her old pen for about a week and has been in the new pen for the last 3 weeks. When I say moved, the pen is a 10 foot by 3 foot hutch that's split into 3 equal sized pens separated by a plywood wall so she only moved from the middle enclosure to the one on the left. I do have white "Christmas" lights in the pens but I haven't been leaving them on over the summer.

Do some birds require more light? All things being equal I have 7 hens in this hutch and she's the only one that isn't laying. Same food, light, and exposure to stress. She's only 4 months old and appears healthy.
