Hen suddenly dying

Do Bob’s eyes look the same to you, and is her right pupil irregular-shaped or round. In the pic, it looks irregular or keyhole-shaped. Can you feel of her crop in her right upper chest to see if it is empty and flat, full and puffy or hard? Those scratch and peck type feeds are popular, but I have had better luck with layer crumbles or pellets, since they can’t pick out the best parts first. She looks to be molting as well, so this is a time that illnesses will pop up. They also do not lay when molting.

Thanks, I’ll see what I can find, my other hens didn’t seem to like the pellets as much so I mostly fed them this layers mash, I’ll stop giving it them though if you think it is doing them harm. I read giving them corn as a treat was helpful to warm them up on cold nights, and don’t give them loads
My birds don’t like pellets either. I give them crumbles. The problem with mixes like you have is they do indeed pick out their favorites. It’s like giving a child their dinner plate with a pogo chop, a stalk of broccoli, and a peanut butter cup. Guess what they’re going to eat. Guess what they aren’t going to touch. Snacks should only be 10% of daily feed and best held off to be fed just before they go to bed. This way you know they filled up on nutrition before snack feed filled up the space.

Her right pupil was always goat like!
She felt quite thin, and her breast bone was easily felt, I know it is a very prevalent bone anyway but it seemed even more noticeable today. I didn’t really check her crop specifically, I will tomorrow.
I also forgot to mention that she had diarrhoea
