I have a 4 year old lavender orpington hen who is swirling her neck. You know how if you hold a hen who is looking at something and move their bodies, their head swirls to stay focused on it?
But she's on the ground, fairly lethargic, hanging out in the run while the others are out having "tear up the lawn" time.
No, there are no lawn chemicals used here.
I dont notice any other symptoms. I have 3 lavenders this age and I dont see any of them using the nest boxes. I dont think she is laying anymore.
She otherwise looks healthy. All of the lavenders went thru a deep molt (looked bald and terrible for a couple of weeks) in January, but she and the others came back looking wonderful.
She acts like she's trying to swallow something, but this is the 3rd day and now she is hanging out by herself.
If anyone has seen this before, id love to get some ideas.
Thank you
