I have several hen saddles, all from Hensaver.com, plus a homemade one. The bought ones are size large and extra large. They have the criss-cross elastic for across the chest, plus the shoulder pads.

I have a 9 month old EE, on the smaller side, that needs a saddle, desperately. She has a tear drop shape to her, wide across the shoulders and slimming down towards her bum. We have tried all the saddles on her and none will work. With the store bought ones, the elastic that's supposed to go across her chest rides up until it's choking her. The homemade one she manages to slip out of.

Anyone have tips to make these saddles work? Does she need a different size?

Please help. She's in desperate need of one.

So you think it's the fact that the saddle is a large (or extra large) that's the problem? Causing the elastic to ride up? I was wondering about that. I do have the one I made, might try adapting that one.

Thanks

Well, the elastic has to be the right length/width, and the saddle needs to be just wide and long enough. You may even have to take in the saddle material as well.
You're welcome, hope you get it to work out for her!
