I have a 3 month old hen that will not stay standing or walk. She eats , drinks has no other symptoms but nearly falls over if nudged . Any suggestions ?

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

Sorry your pullet isn't well. :( Are you able to post pics? What are you feeding including treats and supplements? Did she ever get coccidiosis as a chick? How long has she been like this?

First thought is Marek's. Hopefully not! But here is some information...

I got her at 2 days old , she was vaccinated for Mareks . It seems as if she has been doing this for awhile , no other symptoms . What do you suggest I do with her ? I’ll take pictures . She doesn’t look sick she just lays down all the time . I’m feeding her the Dumor grower food , just transitioned from the starter food . I have only given them a small amount of dried mealworms . No other snacks yet . She came with 8 other chicks al healthy and doing well . Never has been sick otherwise . I added some apple cider vinegar their water . I’m at a loss . I am out with her as I wrote this and she was standing to my surprise !! I hope she gets better .. thanks in advance for any advice . Oh by the way , could she have a deficiency in B2 or any other vitamin , niacin ?

I also read riboflavin could be deficient , what do you know about that ?

Did you keep them under quarantine while the vaccine worked to become effective... 3 weeks, I think. Even then, it doesn't prevent the disease but just masks the symptoms.

But YES... it could be a deficiency even though you feed your birds properly. Sometimes an individual won't be as efficient at absorbing nutrients and may need supplementing. Part of the reason I asked about coccidiosis in the past as it can damage the intestines which is where nutrients are mostly absorbed. @Wyorp Rock do you have human B complex dosing information? Thank you.

If you can post some photos of her and her poop that would be good.
Video of her walking may also be helpful - upload to youtube and provide us a link.

I won't hurt to give her 1/2 tablet of B-Complex for 1 week to see if that helps.

At her age Marek's does come to mind.
Good question about Coccidiosis too. How long have the chicks been outside?
