Hen 'throwing up'?!

All of a sudden my hen had all this thick saliva stuff dripping out of her mouth and her thin eyelid was closing. What does this mean?

need more information. Did she shake it out and was fine afterwards? Is she doing it constantly? Is she off her feed? Is she in an area with toxic plants? Is her nose dripping? Is she wheezing? Is she listless? I could go on and on with questions. But, it sounds like she had a run-in with a tricky snail.

I live in the desert so I don't think we have snails. She kind of shook her head to get it out of her beak and then she went back to normal. She did start fghting with my other hens but they are all fighting with each other (whole nother problem). There is plenty of food, she's been broody for a while and as far as I can tell there aren't any toxic plants
