I raised the Barred Rock (Beaker) since she was a few days old, as well as two other Barred Rocks from her clutch but they passed away. The other girls I got at a few moths old. And i just got Muriel and Houdini a couple of days ago- they're 18 weeks old. Your hens will warm up to you eventually. You just have to give it time

Thanks! I hope so. The ones that won't let me pet or eat out of my hand yet are the ones not laying yet. I bet that has something to do with it.

It might have to do with it but i doubt it. The first step is to get them to eat from your hand. You can try this by crouching down and tossing food to them- tossing the food closer to you each time so that they'll come closer. eventually they'll eat right from your hand
