Hen to rooster ratio for bantams

I was wondering how many bantam roosters I could keep with 20 hens ? The roosters have been together since they hatched

A lot depends upon the temperament of the roosters. In my experience bantam roosters have not caused a lot of feather damage to hens from breeding. How many roosters do you have at the present time?

I orderd 45 straight run chicks rir, del, br. All bantams ended up with about half and half they are 7 weeks old wanted to keep a roosters of each breed and regime the rest

I was thinking on the order of 3 cockerels with 20 hens, but starting with 2 of each breed and giving yourself more time to evaluate their temperament as they mature might be a good idea. You can always cull more roosters as/if problems arise.

Space is a significant factor. At one time (before the Great Horned Owl massacre) I had a free ranging flock of 50 or 60 crossbred bantams. About one third was cockerels/roosters, and there were minimal problems, but they had my 11 acres to roam and the neighboring farm fields.

I'm good on space 12'-25' coop,25'-25'run free range part time. We had standard rir for years just wanted to try some bantams.
