Hen Vs. Rooster

I see some of both but it’s hard to specify which ones because there’s so many. LOL maybe you could number the pictures to help people clarify which ones so you also know which ones. Beautiful Flock.

Yes, I think all the others are pullets and hens. Don't see the need to go through all the breeds. If you look at that white cockerel you'll see all the signs that indicate males. Sickle tail feathers and if you look at the lower back will see the long thin pointed saddle feathers. These are all tell tale signs of being male.

Usually people post only pullets and cockerels, what's going to confuse people is you are posting up to two year old hens. Long red combs will throw people off. By laying age people know which are male/female. You'll note that the young pullets don't have red combs yet that barred cockerel does. Single comb pullets don't turn red until point of lay but cockerels start turning red at three months.

Certain breeds can have pretty bright red large combs and waddles a little earlier on than others. I always try to determine by the feathers. I have 2 New Hampshire red Pullets Who have had huge red combs and lg red waddles for over a month. Still no egg. But there combs Are so large they flop over a bit. Feathers I think are the best determining factor

Here a few have asked me to number them to make it easier. So here it is...

Also can anyone tell me the breed of 1,2 and 14. And point out the roosters.

# 5 is only 4 months old
The rest are 6months-2years.

So far we get 1-5 Eggs a day. Not very consistent.

OUR FAMILY IS COMPLETELY NEW TO RAISING CHICKENS! STARTED WITH A FEW CHICKS IN APRIL AND ADDED SOME MORE CHICKENS HERE AND THERE.
