Has anyone ever had a Hen just start walking real low, almost shifting her weight to each leg slowly?? Our Rooster is young & is relentless at times, & she is usually the target! she seems fine otherwise, but it's almost like one of her legs is out of joint....? I'm not sure, she is acting fine other wise, eating, drinking, foraging & laying...??? Any help would be great!!!

Could she be walking on her hocks or elbows? I would place the cockerel in a pen for awhile to give her a break. Young males typically pick out the weakest or lowest in pecking order to mate, until the others will be receptive. Videos posted on YouTube are sometimes helpful to let us see what you see, but post a link here. Pictures might also help. She may need to be confined for a week or two to help rest her leg if it is injured or sprained.

Have you looked her over for any injuries?
