hen wants to mother the chicks.... what do i do?!

hey everyone! so recently i just got 8 chicks, i had a broody hen for a long time. then she broke, but i think why she broke is because she thinks there her chicks....... the chicks have an enclosed pen by the hens so they can get use to them, the last 4 days my hen that was broody has been laying by them all day. she also has been protecting them from us, today while i was taking the chicks outside one got loose and she was laying with it and pecked me when i got the chick from her. the chicks are almost 4 weeks old. what do i do!?

Let her brood them.

LET HER have them, nothing more fun than a hen with chicks, NO integration issues with the flock. Keep them and the flock together.

Time to integrate those chicks into the flock.

Add a tiny door or opening into the separation wall, sized so that the chicks can pass thru and the older birds cannot.
