Hi. I was sitting inside when I heard a crying noise coming from outside. When I went outside to investigate I heard it coming from across the road in the palmettos. With closer investigation I found the noise was coming from one of my Rhode Island Reds that got taken from the coop. When I pulled her from the palmettos I found she had been bitten up in the rear section and was bleeding badly but what really worries me is the wound on her left breast. Its cut open badly and looks like the crop has been damaged. She survived the night but looks very tired and weak. I gave her some water with antibiotic in it and she looks like she wants to eat but I don't know what to do about her wounds. Please Help! Thank you.

I am sorry for your hen.

A damaged crop sounds lethal, without some kind of surgery. Maybe someone on here has had this before and can advise you, I'd say keep her warm and quiet for now. Anyone know the dosage of pain meds for a hen?

Yeah I don't get it. I figured as bad as she looks she wouldn't want to walk or drink. She actually is very responsive but where she is cut open you can see there is a lot of damage. I can't make out some of the stuff that's hanging. I can see sunflower seeds and grass so I figured the crop had been damaged.

Yeah guys thanks for the help but I don't think she's going to make it. She had been attacked by a hawk before and pulled through but I dont' think she will be so lucky this time. Where she got attacked in rear looks like there may be some internal bleeding and/or a hernia. It would take a miracle for her to get better. I'm going to keep looking after her and I'll keep you guys updated. Any tips at all would be appreciated!
