Hen "watering" her food?

I saw the strangest thing the other day! Maybe I just never noticed it before but ...

One of my hens (FBCM) took a drink of water, went over to the food dish, threw up the water onto the feed, and then ate all the wet feed. She did it like 5 times in a row. Is this normal? Have I been missing this in my other birds all these years?

Yes, my chickens do it every now and then. Mine are hogs, so they stuff themselves with layer crumble, go get a drink, then come back to eat more, then throw up water in their food. It's normal, if they're hogs like mine are. LOL
