Hen wheezing slightly

Thanks for all the help. :)
I bought some Oxytetracycline powder. All feed stores are closed on Sunday except for one, which just so happened to be out of Tylan.

It also says to give her 200-400mg/gal of meds for Infectious Synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae
400-800mg/gal for CRD and airsac infection caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and E. coli OR fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida.

So, should I be giving her the dosage for a chronic respiratory disease (CDR)??

Give the highest concentration on the label, which is the 800 mg dose. In the Durvet brand that is 2 1/2 tablespoonful per gallon of water.

I ended up giving her 1 1/2 tbsp, which was a little more than I was going to give her originally, unfortuantely though, she did not make it.
Her first day on antibiotics made her a lot better! Her wheezing subsided, but then out of the blue, she kicked it. I gave her new water on the second day, same dosage, and left for work. When I came home she was dead. No fluids or anything leaking out of her face. This is my second hen to die ever! So, it's really shocking. I thought I was doing everything correctly in terms of caring for her cough, other than administering a dose that was too low, but that didn't seem to be an issue since she did get better...

Thank you guys for the help. At least next time, if something happens to one of my other girls, I'll be more prepared. She'll have medication the second she get's sick.
