Hen? Why is it digging holes in dirt and lying down in it?

Is this a hen? it is approx. 3 months old its hen doesnt seem to be goriwng annymore and my cockarels hen grew huge in 2 months her its been satying tha same size also why is digging holes in dirt then lyng down in it?

I don't know if she is a she, but she is giving herself a dirt/dust bath.

Lol, love it! She is bathing! Chickens dust bath to keep their feathers clean.

Oh, and cockerels out size pullets pretty quick. She may also just be a smaller bird naturally.

Roosters do not preen near as often as hens do. All hens will do this.

oh ok cause ya my ccokarel/rooster grew very quickly and this one is very small for 3 months old wel i thought ut was

Dust bathing, my Roos and Hens do it all the time

She's dust bathing. Hens and roosters both do it to keep their feathers clean.
