It's probably bumblefoot. Do a search like he said. I dealt with this last week for the first time.

It sounds like bumblefoot to me, which is a staph type infection and needs to be treated very carefully so you don't contract it. I have 4 hens with it right now and will be doing surgery on them after I run to town this morning.

If you do a search, lots of stuff will come up about how to treat the bumblefoot. This is my first time having to deal with it, so I've been using the search feature too for answers on how to treat this and how to do the surgery.
