Hi, i have a hen that has had very clear watery stool for over a week now. She is one of three dorkings that all roost together that are from the same hatch. All other hens and roosters are fine.
The question is could her stool be like this from stealing chick starter from my 3 month old pullets that are separated in the coop? I am in the process of finishing this bag and then everyone will be on the same food but right now i am constantly finding her squishing herseĺf into the little ones area where only they are supposed to eat. Who knew a chicken could squeeze themselves into a hole two times smaller than them!
Other than the explosive watery stool she seems fine but i am sure its not good for her.

Ready to hear this? You are wrong. Chick starter is practically identical to all flock feed, just a tiny less protein than the "adult" feed. They are interchangeable, and some of us have even bought chick starter in lieu of all flock feed when the store was out. No issues.

Is this hen behaving normally in every other respect except being a nuisance pigging out on the chicks' food? Is she by any chance drinking a lot of water these days?

So, is she behaving otherwise normally?

Or is she acting as if she doesn't feel well, standing around inactive much of the day, nodding off, maybe with her tail down? Is there a steady drip coming out of her vent of this clear fluid?

She is otherwise normal.
Not a steady drip, it is just clear water when she passes stool. Even her feathers are clean around her vent.
Not sure if i should worry or not, it just that under where she roosts ( the three dorkings roost away from the other hens) is absolutely soaking wet.

It is possible for chickens to be normal and healthy and their urates come out as liquid instead of nice little white "flags" on top of solid poop. She must be passing regular poop, too, if she's eating normally.

I have a couple of chickens that do this, and like your hen, mine are also behaving normally in every other respect. Poop alone is merely one thing that might alert us to something not quite right going on, but taken alone, doesn't mean much.

Keep an eye on her behavior as well as continue to monitor the poop. Watch for lethargy, lack of appetite, and if you see white or green poop along with those other signs, then you can start to worry.

I have one that has watery stool and is not acting normal. Not moving much and nodding off. Any suggestions?

I have a hen with watery stool, not active and nodding off. She is drinking water but haven't seen her eat today. Any suggestions?
