I have a pair of Barred Rock hens who are about 1.5 years old. They are a flock of two, separated from my 3.5 year old hens b/c they were constantly picked on. Well, one hen is constantly picking out the feathers of the other one. She has a big patch missing on her back, at the base of her wings, and most of her butt feathers are missing. The weather is turning colder and I am afraid she won't be warm enough. I have used Pick No More, tried feeding them more protein, and even put a Hen Saver on her but this hasn't helped. I'm thinking of just bringing her inside until her feathers grow out, but that would mean putting her back outside in even colder weather eventually. Anything else I can try to get those feathers growing again?
