I have a pair of Barred Rock hens who are about 1.5 years old. They are a flock of two, separated from my 3.5 year old hens b/c they were constantly picked on. Well, one hen is constantly picking out the feathers of the other one. She has a big patch missing on her back, at the base of her wings, and most of her butt feathers are missing. The weather is turning colder and I am afraid she won't be warm enough. I have used Pick No More, tried feeding them more protein, and even put a Hen Saver on her but this hasn't helped. I'm thinking of just bringing her inside until her feathers grow out, but that would mean putting her back outside in even colder weather eventually. Anything else I can try to get those feathers growing again?

Pinless peepers work for some people's pecking hens (put them on the perpetrator).

They are chicken blinders.

Higher protein feed such as Flock Raiser or unmedicated chick starter (with oyster shell on the side for either feed) would give a nice protein boost to help feather regrowth.
