I noticed last night my Wyandotte was favoring her foot. Upon inspection, I noticed her leg band was displaced and embedded in the sole of her claw....nasty. We removed the band, soaked her bloody claw in hydrogen peroxide, separated her from the other hens, and fed her some medicated chick feed. It looks better, but still VERY swollen. Anything else to do? Any suggestions?

sounds like you are doing what needs to be done, keep an eye on it for a few days

maybe give her some warm epsom salt soaks over the next couple days and see if that makes a difference.. good thing you found it when you did.
