Just found one of my Jersey Giants with a 2 inch wide HOLE in her breast. She seems ok but I segregated her. There is no blood and have NO CLUE as to what happened. ANY IDEAS. HELP?

Welcome to BYC. Can you post any pictures of the wound? Was she outside where she may have been attacked by a hawk or other predator? What have you got for wound care? I would flush the wound with chlorhexidene and water, soap and water, or spray with Vetericyn wound spray. Apply some plain antibiotic ointment. Can you identify the crop or where the food is stored in her upper right chest, and tell us if it is damaged, or if the wound is lower than that?

I've successfully treated a perforated crop with a thorough rinsing with saline and regularly dressing wounds with cannabis drops in coconut oil. Soft foods and water with probiotics. Segregated until the wound closed a d scar tissue toughened. Pics will certainly help folks to identify the issue and customize advice.
