Hen With Injured Leg

my hen has an injured leg. It started about three weeks ago. I saw that she was not standing completely upright and was starting to lay down and walk. I put her in the kennel and have been giving her metacam. She was doing a little better and then she darted out of the kennel and made a run for it and I caught her and it is now really bad. Is there anything I can do for her. I am not sure if it is up in the hip area or where the injury is. When she was doing better she would swing her leg out a little to the side to walk. Is there some type of medicine or injection for that area that could help her. She is such an active sweet girl this is so hard on her and I don't want to lose her.

Have you though about making a chicken sling out of an old t shirt?

she is not completely standing up now. She is walking laying down. I know they are not good pics and don't show much. I notice when she is lying down the one leg is going out more. I willread the info you posted on legs. Thanks!

I had tried that in the past for a different gen a couple of years and she moved around so much freaking out over it it was making things worse so I did not try that again.
