Hen with Pale Shrunken Comb for 1 month!

I suggested you move your problem to a new topic in hopes there would be more responses. I know when my ducks molt they go all at once and are really down and crabby for a while. Everything I'm finding is suggesting a hard molt. After that everything else has more symptoms.

Any eye or nose discharge?

No drooping or lethargy. No sneezing, coughing.

I'm leaning toward hard molt with possible underlying or overcome issue.

Have you provided treatment for anything yet?

I found something that said the comb can become pale during molting. she doesn't have any other symptoms, I am going to use the verm-x for worms jik otherwise just watching her...don't know what else to do. She eats fine, drinks fine, is active, no sign of mites lice or any other bugs. Crop is fine, doesn't feel eggbound so...

hopefully now it's just her molting. Thanks for your help though!

Definitely! I have already learned so much here! I started with 6 chickens from TSC lost 2 this spring to weasels, decided I wanted more so I have 12 two wk old chicks in the basement and found a free shed that I am getting moved here on Saturday to convert into a 2nd coop! My first coop will house 8 with an attached run. Once I get the new(used) shed modified I am going to build a seperate run for it and it will house up to 16 chickens! Talk about Chicken Math! It has been great talking with you today!
