Hen with prolapse and eggbound.

I have a hen that I found yesterday that was prolapsed and egg bound. we cleaned her up and got the egg out. it was about 2:00 yesterday that we go done and put her in a chicken tractor wrapped in garbage bags to keep out the sun to try to keep her from laying anymore eggs. I tried to put the prolapse back in 2 maybe 3 times yesterday last night at about 7:00 I pushed it in for the last time then went to bed. 6:30 this morning it was out and very dry no color in it and she has an egg that has no shell that I can see the tip of it. any ideas how to moisten up the Prolapse so that it's not dry anymore and can I just brake the membrane and pull the egg out?

I would try soaking her in a tub of warmish water, and give her some calcium citrate to help her pass it. As far as the prolapse goes, if you can get her to a vet, that would be best. If not, maybe those with more experience with prolapse could chime in.
