Hen with Prolapse, white discharge, smells bad... what do?

Keep the prolapse moist with an anti-inflammatory cream.

Sometimes a prolapse cannot be fixed and the hen needs to be put out of her misery.
The prolapse and the poop being expelled really do not match - are you certain she's pooping out something that large?

If you are not interested in giving information to help this hen or are spamming the ER forum - please be kind and consider that you are taking up people's time and there are others waiting for assistance as well. Go spam a chat thread not this one.
I'm not sure, that could be droppings from another chicken. I cant really separate them so I'm hoping it's not contagious.

and man... I didnt' think the people on a chicken forum were going to be so toxic and mock and complain instead of actually want to help!

I will be happy to help.

The white discharge that is coming out of the vent is urates.
Having a prolapse like this for 2-3 weeks is not good. Cage her so you can tend to her.
Make sure she's drinking well and offer her wet feed. Get a good look at her poop.

The tissue is swollen, this is why it won't go back in or stay in. It takes time, but generally just a few days if the hen is going to heal. Anti-inflammatory cream can help reduce to swelling.
She also needs calcium to help retain the prolapse once swelling is down. Give her 1 Caltrate with D3 once a day for 5 days.

Again, you may not be able to fix the prolapse. If she's in pain, lethargic or suffering, then putting her out of her misery is the best thing to do.

Not really toxic, but your delivery is off - may be suitable for random/chat threads, but poor taste in the ER forum, especially when you are the one wanting assistance.

Sounds like I should be able to add ground up eggshells to the food or water. I hate to bring her inside the house with a dog crate, man that would stink. D3... is that vitamin D? I assume my Big R has this caltrate, d3 and anti-inflammatory cream.

I actually appreciate your sense of humor; I think your post was quite funny. Being a New Yorker who now lives on the south, I get it alot... people do not understand my sarcasm and dry sense of humor.
I’m not sure how to fix your chickens derrière... but if I can offer some advice... that’s a horrific diet, and DE and ACV do nothing to prevent / treat worms. Try feeding your birds a regular diet of chicken feed and fresh water. They should NOT be eating all that crap and I guarantee you’ll see alot more clogged “buttholes.” Do with it what you will, just my two cents. Good luck to you, I hope your bird feels better.

Hmmm, thats a good point, their neck sacks are always pretty full and bulging like a soft-ball. Thanks, Looks like I may have a plan between medicines, supplements , and diet.

Just like us, chickens need a good diet to keep everything moving smoothly (💩). And with chickens, their food goes to purgatory (crop) first. It’s important that there isn’t tons of processed garbage in there so everything flows down to the gizzard properly..... and slow processed carbs such as hamburger helper (plus all the nasty chemicals in that junk) can help contribute to sour crop which is a raging disgusting yeast infection of the crop. Yeast infections (aka fermentation) LOVE carbs.
