I understand. I know it can be hard to do a necropsy on a pet. I do them just so I can find a reason why one died or was sick. She may have been egg bound, even though she had already laid an egg earlier. Sometimes they can have an egg right behind the first if there has been a slowdown.

thank you for understanding, and for the help you have given me. every now and then there have been times i have found only 1 egg, and knowing that she could have laid after due to a slow down really upsets me. i thank you for your help very much.

She might have burst a blood vessel while laying an egg and bled out in her abdomen. So sorry for your loss.
