Hen with severely swollen eye

Hi guys my little hen has got a severely swollen eye which is watery. Interesting enough she’s eating very active and business as usual laying. The eye however is looking horrid - any suggestions?! I did have a cream legbar seemingly healthy drop dead suddenly she was only 9 months so unsure if it’s related

Sorry about your hen. Do you see any bubbles or pus in the eye, or is it just watery with crusty drainage? The location of the swelling appears to be sinus infection, and that can be a sign of mycoplasma (MG) or coryza. Do you notice a bad odor from the face? Is there any sneeze or cough, crackles or wheeze while breathing? Tylosin (Tylan) given in the water is usually good to help treat symptoms of MG. The disease is chronic, and probably is something that is in your flock. It can come back during periods of stress. Here is a place ro get the Tylan:
