Noticed one of our chickens has one eye shut and was all puffed up and lethargic a few days ago. We immediately separated her and she has been in a large crate in a shed with a heater. We are giving rooster booster using vet rx giving some scrambled eggs and regular pellets. Any tips? She seems to been improving slightly she was blinking her eye some today instead of keeping it shut all day and seemed slightly more alert. Not sure where to go from here or what else to do to help her recover also when is it ok to reintroduce her?

The picture is her still in the coop when I first noticed she looked off

Have you tried flushing out the eye with saline to see if there's any debris or pus that needs to be removed.
Hard to tell what's going on with the eye from the photo, if you have other pictures that may be helpful.

Give her a going over, check for lice/mites, see that her crop is emptying overnight and see that she's staying well hydrated and eating.

If possible, take a sample of her poop to your vet for a fecal float to see if she needs treated for worms and/or coccidiosis.

You don't mention her age, if she's of laying age, when was her last egg? If she's not laid an egg and should have, then giving her 300mg Calcium Citrate+D3 once daily for 3-5days may help her expel an egg or lash material which can cause them to feel bad.

If we can get a clear picture of the eye we might be able to tell if it's a peck injury or - ? Have you ever noticed her being bullied? How many chickens do you have? Have you added any new birds recently? How are you using the Vetrx?
