Hen with tail down update

Thanks for the pictures! Very interesting and informative! She is laying an egg a day though, although the eggs are porous and sometimes mis-shapen slightly. Should I still check inside the vent?

I haven't checked her vent but I have felt her abdomen and it is SO VERY swollen and obviously sore. Thoughts?

ascites is what I think it is... maybe a trip to vets, unless I could drain it myself?

Hey guys I also need some help. I have a few Easter eggers and they just starting laying 3 days ago. The eggs have been about every other day do far. My one hen who has already laid one small egg is looking a little funny today. She has her tail down while walking around. I picked her up and don't really feel anything inside that would feel like an stuck egg? She is eating and drinking? I know I have to keep an eye on her. Could anyone know what this is? Maybe another egg coming soon? The other hen who laid already is looking great. Just concerned.

Update: she's walking really slowly compared to the other girls and she just laid down in the grass and is pointing toward a bush.

Oh, I have a hen like this too!! I guess it's just poor genetics (in the case of being like this from birth)?
