Hen with tail down

My OEGB hen is walking around with her tail down. I have two pairs and both roosters breed her enough that they are picking her feathers off her neck where they hold on. She is eating and scratching around, lays about every 2-3 days and seems okay otherwise. Is not holding the tail up a sign of anything?

Tail down sometimes means they are not feeling well - I have read that in eggbound, internal laying and water retention - that the tail will be down.


How is she doing now? Might want to set up a bachelor pad for the roos - give your girl a break.
